Artist in residence at Portmerion, Briony Clarke, joins Coleridge festival founder Richard Parry for a walk over Mynydd Parys and down to Amwlch through the spectacular and haunting remnants of a vast historic Welsh mineral venture.
The extracts from the hill here made the owner the richest man in the world, during his lifetime.
The plan is to take the 32 bus from Llangefni at 12.00 noon to Parys Mountain bus stop. From there, a walk over Mynydd Parys, descending to Amwlch, to Copper Kingdom visitor centre http://www.copperkingdom.co.uk/

This is not an organised walk, but anyone who is fit, equipped and interested to join is welcome. bring a picnic lunch. We'll be walking / wandering for about 3 hours. Regular buses return to Llangefni and Bangor.
