Coleridge walked through Bala in 1794 on a 700 mile walking tour that brought him to Wales in search of landscape and dreams of founding a new, just society.

In Bala he was involved in a political argument in a pub, and he toasted "General Washington" - andf American idependance.

Coleridge in Wales festival director Richard Parry gives a short lecture recital in Y Cwrt bar in Bala at about 9.30pm, following the film in the town cinema 'Bicycle Thieves'.

All welcome.
