Gwasanaeth yn y bore ar y llong

A short church service on board the deck of the historic sailing ship, moored in Penarth Marina.

Join us for a couple of hymns and prayers in Welsh and English to mark the beginning of the Coleridge in Wales festival with the spectacle exploring Coleridge's great poem The Rime of The Ancient Mariner.

Coleridge's deep and lasting influence in the 19th century as a thinker, philosopher, theologian and social force was lost in the 20th century. The festival gently explores his remarkable and visionary approach for today.

Led by Rev. Mark Jones from St Augustine's Church, Penarth, Deacon Elfed Jones from St Joseph's, Penarth and Keith Howells of Penarth Cytun.

Please note: Access to the wooden sailing ship is via the marina pontoons. The closest proximity to the service on the pavement/quayside will be on the other side of the Marina on Llwyn Passat near the car park. There is little cover on the ship's deck so please bring suitable clothing in event of rain.
